How booking a Preikestolen trip works

1 · Decide: transfer, cruise or guide

An express bus only gets you to the trailhead, a Lysefjord cruise shows you the cliff from below, and a guided hike takes you to the top. Check which one a product actually is before comparing prices.

2 · Check the season

The direct buses run in the main season only, and from October to April the trail is often icy. In winter, a guided hike with spikes is the safer choice.

3 · Book ahead and keep your return

Bus tickets are sold online only and are not valid on another company's bus. Cruise-ship passengers should book a morning departure early.
